We are sustainable living, homesteaders on a journey to lower our carbon footprint and reduce our waste. We aim to grow and raise rather than purchase and consume. Join us on our journey learning to make things from scratch and establishing our homestead. We have four children and enjoy trying to slow down life to watch them grow!
The Spraustead…
The Spraustead is a 100 year old house surrounded by trees. We have made this shaded lot into our own little homestead. We are grow and preserve our own food and hope to have some chickens this spring. We buy local and believe in science. Homesteading is our way of living a more sustainable life and teaching our children about the world around them. We are in our second year of homeschooling and have been making progress every day. We have two dogs and hope to take on more animals next year. Our family is most important to us and we are always happy to be home.
Our Goal
